FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Straight answers on the formula, the garments, and how QILTA actually works.

How long does one bottle of QILTA formula last?

A 500ml bottle lasts the average athlete around 2 months — roughly 25 applications at three sessions a week. That works out at about €2.50 a recovery session.

Do I need the garment and the spray, or just one?

Both. The garment is a dual-wicking delivery system — it holds the formula against the skin and keeps it working for 3–4 hours. The spray on its own evaporates. The garment on its own does nothing. They're designed as one system.

What's the difference between QILTA CORE and QILTA PRO?

PRO is Informed Sport certified. Every batch is independently tested for banned substances. If you fall under WADA requirements — inter-county, professional or any tested sport — PRO is the one you want.

CORE is the clinically proven recovery formula without the batch certification. If you're training, playing club or in the gym and you're not subject to testing, CORE does the job.

Both are backed by the same peer-reviewed UCD trial.

Does QILTA actually work, or is it marketing?

It was tested in a double-blind clinical trial at University College Dublin, led by Professor Eamonn Delahunt, and the results were peer-reviewed. Athletes using QILTA showed a 33.5% reduction in post-exercise muscle soreness, measured at 12 and 24 hours after exercise. Lower pain scores at every time point.

Is QILTA safe for athletes under WADA requirements?

QILTA PRO is Informed Sport certified — every batch is independently tested and certified for banned substances. Informed Sport is the global standard for banned-substance screening. If you're subject to testing, choose PRO.

When should I apply it — before or after training?

Either. Spray the inside of your garment and pull it on. Post-session is where most athletes see the biggest benefit, but it works pre-activity too. Wear it for 3–4 hours for full effect.

What's in the formula?

Menthol, Dimethyl Sulfone (MSM) and Glycerine. Targeted relief, reduced inflammation and deep hydration. You'll feel a cooling sensation as it starts working.

How do I wash the garments?

Inside out at 40°C. Line dry only, no direct heat. Don't tumble dry them.

What size do I need?

Calf socks are sized by UK shoe size: Small 3–5, Medium 6–8, Large 9–11.5.

Thigh sleeves are true to size. Snug by design — don't size up.

The formula spray is one size, 500ml.

Can I use QILTA on an injury?

QILTA is a recovery aid, not a medical treatment. It's built for muscle soreness after training and matches. Don't apply it to broken skin, and see a physio or doctor for an actual injury.

Can I buy the formula on its own?

Yes. Once you have your garments, you only need to reorder the formula. Both CORE and PRO 500ml bottles are available on their own — roughly one bottle every two months for the average athlete.
